THE DUST SETTLES (4.09.2008)
The past few weeks have seen some exciting new changes taking place at andib.co.uk, most notably a relocation to a new premises in Bexleyheath. With my studio now situated comfortably on the border between central London and Kent, clients from all over the South Eastern area can visit me with ease and relax in the space whilst browsing examples of artwork, discussing design details or commissioning new projects face to face with the artist. The full studio address can be found in the contact and artist sections.
To celebrate the re-launch, some designer desktop wallpapers have been made available in the store

MY BIGGEST FAN (24.07.2008)
andib.co.uk embarks upon new web territory this week with its very own fan page on Facebook. If you're a member of the social networking site, take a look here and show your appreciation.
GOING POSTAL (24.07.2008)
andib.co.uk has just generated new imagery for the Umbrilla group's latest venture - a circulated promotional brochure gracing the post boxes of residential homes across the Southampton area in the up coming months. Working closely with the client, designer Andi B has helped compile the package which makes use of typographical layout, primary photography sourcing, artworking, retouching, logo design and original illustration. The Commission section of the andib.co.uk gallery will house some of the final and conceptual imagery leading to the completion of the project.
In addition to this, further work for the Umbrilla group will be released to the gallery in the near future.
Also, check back again later to see the visual output of an alliance with the Bournemouth and Ferndown based Shore Design group with whom Andi B will be combining forces with at the close of the summer. More details on this soon.

ON SHOW (20.05.2008)
As well as the Perfect Day collection on display in Farringdon, EC1 (see previous news post), andib.co.uk is also appearing at two more exhibitions across June this summer. The Arts Institute at Bournemouth is holding its annual Graduation Exhibition where Andi Best will have a stand in position, presenting large-scale pieces of illustration as well handing out free limited edition giveaways! The dates for the show are 16th-27th June and admission is free. Visit it the AIB website for more details. On 24th June, for one evening only, free admission is granted to audiences wanting to see this year’s 2008 D&AD exhibition in Earl’s Court.. In representation of the AIB, Andi Best will be contributing some illustrative material to the display stand, with the possible inclusion of never before seen imagery. The daytime schedule for the exhibition is limited to client and industry visits, which will require advanced confirmation from the exhibition organisers if you wish to attend at this time. The evening is reserved for the private view and invitations can be arranged by contacting me directly. Space is limited so early arrangements are advised. Visit the D&AD website for more details. |

PERFECT DAY MONTH (11.05.08)
Spanning the last half of May through to the end of June, ten original fine art / illustration works will be exhibited from the Andi Best freelance collection on the premises of the Perfect Day group in Farringdon, East Central London. This is the first externally housed body of work on display from my collection and is quite an exciting opportunity. The works were designed exclusively for the space, exploring abstract representation of London environments. The works are backed on canvases and are available for purchase from lead organiser Deborah Shaw. Visiting the space is free, though advance notice of large group viewings is advisable - you can contact Perfect Day here for more information. Alternately, if enough interest is generated over the period, a private viewing can be organised for as many people as possible and you can support your favourite freelance illustrator for an entire evening! Previews of the imagery can be found in my Commission Gallery. |

UPCOMIN' LAUNCHES (11.05.08)
Following the launch of andib.co.uk version 3.0, construction has already begun on version 3.5 - a fully interactive Flash rendition better suited to higher profile graphical tastes. Expect to see animated navigation, optimum illustration viewing and an overall gloss that is unattainable in 3.0's HTML grounding. Both versions will be accessible from the andib.co.uk landing page.
Long term developments are also underway to launch Banded - the sister project to andib.co.uk, catering exclusively to young professionals in the music industry. The project is currently undergoing a redesign in both Flash and HTML platforms. The full spec of the project will be released soon. |
